“Type 2 fun! The ride to and fro was timely and uneventful. Once we arrived, our guide was excellent and took good care of us for the duration of this experience. Bring warm thermals (and two pairs of wool socks!) and you will stay warm, except expect your hands and face to go numb (both are in contact with the glacial water). This January morning outing included a beautiful sunrise! It’s not a long swim, but it was enough for me. The water is crystal clear, the walls of the chasm is lined with volcanic rocks, with no flora or fauna. I’m glad I did it!”

Or guide was Emil and he waited for us to have the best possible show, we saw pretty good northern lights on one place but he wasn’t satisfied even when some of us were, we went to a second location where we witnessed magic. He was so patient and encouraging with the photography as well, he knew this is a once in a lifetime thing for most of us and he treated it that way and better! You want multiple photos? Sure get in there! And the viking dress up was just too cool. If you have a chance to book…”

“You spend about an hour getting into a dry suit. The instructions are endless. You can’t really move and you stand around waiting forever. We basically survived this excursion. There was nothing awe inspiring here. You float down a freezing river with burning, frozen hands and end up in a lagoon. The only purpose is to say you have done it. Would not recommend. It is exhausting to he the dry suit on and off and rather pointless”
